Search United Kingdom Overview

Four different types of searches

You can search for our nearest locations using any one of the following:

  • Postcode
  • Town name, with spelling error correction
  • Town, County name, with spelling error correction
  • Clicking on a map near your point of interest

Uses geographic coordinates

How does it work? The search program knows the geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) of every postcode, and of many thousands of towns in the United Kingdom. This allows us to show you our locations nearest your point of interest, even if they are in different towns, counties, or postal regions.

Hints

The best way to search is to be as specific as possible. If you know the postcode, that will usually be the most precise. If not, using city or town and county is usually very good, unless the city is very large. Least accurate is to try to click on the map near a particular city, unless the city is actually marked on the map.

Use only one of the suggested formats. For example, use a city name or a postcode, but not both.

If you want to know about a particular location represented by a marker on a map, clicking near the marker is the most efficient way to get information about that location.
